The Global Television Network is a Canadian broadcast television network headquartered in Toronto, Ontario. It runs several stations across Canada and boasts an impressive selection of programming.
Its West Coast flagship station is CHAN-DT in Vancouver. Its transmitters cover 96% of British Columbia and neighboring Whatcom County in Washington State.

Vancouver News Global offers a mix of breaking news, local events and current affairs that is broadcast both on-air and online.
At present, the network boasts 21 owned-and-operated stations. Corus Entertainment, a Toronto Stock Exchange-listed company, owns and operates the network.
Global’s newscasts are hosted by a combination of Canadian and international correspondents who reside in their home cities. These broadcasts can be seen on the main television networks and radio stations affiliated with the parent company.
One of the biggest changes at the network is that Bhupinder Hundal will take over as News Director and Station Manager, replacing Jill Krop who stepped down in September.
He was a senior producer at the CBC in Vancouver, overseeing many of their popular shows. Additionally, he has extensive experience as a sports reporter for NBC.com; he will begin in this role on December 15.
Sports
Sports are an integral part of Canadian culture, and vancouver news global broadcasts a wide variety of games from professional to minor leagues. Plus there are some major events like the World Rugby Sevens Series that draw large audiences every year.
