Andi Peters insists competitions are’real’
Andi Peters is a popular presenter on ITV daytime shows Good Morning Britain and Lorraine, often providing competitions with generous cash prizes to lucky viewers. However, she has recently been prohibited from using the term “life-changing” when discussing prizes – something she finds absurd.
On Friday, He revealed the ban on the podcast What If? with Lorraine Kelly and Rosie Smith.
On the episode, Andi recounted a humorous tale about being mistaken for This Morning presenter Phillip Schofield by an onlooker in the street. Additionally, he shared an amusing tale from when he was younger and mistook Sean Fletcher from Live & Kicking with his teacher.
Andi then announced he would be traveling to South Africa for a competition segment where he would share an incredible jackpot with viewers. Unfortunately, many viewers were outraged after Andi flew more than 5,000 miles for this special assignment.
Good Morning Britain’s latest prize is PS125,000
Good Morning Britain has returned with a host of innovative gadgets to keep it running smoothly. One of the most eye-catching items on display was a PS125,000 top of the range gaming console, while the most expensive item was an Xbox One X – described as “smartphone for your living room”. But it’s not all about gadgets – there are also some tempting prizes up for grabs here too!
Spin-to-win viewers were up in arms
This morning’s morning show ignited outrage when they introduced a prize to their Spin To Win wheel that would cover caller’s energy bills. The segment, reminiscent of the post-apocalyptic Black Mirror series Remain Indoors, sparked immediate public outcry.
Today, despite widespread criticism, the segment continued with an unsettling new prize and viewers were left questioning how they could possibly enter.
Viewers who want to get involved with their favorite show’s spin-to-win can add a wheel via the Add Elements menu and select “Spin To Win.”
When adding the wheel to your campaign, customize the prize, design and text accordingly. Furthermore, you have control over how often the wheel will land on winning slices – this setting will determine your visitors’ chances of claiming more generous prizes.
ITV’s energy crisis competition
On a recent episode of Spin to Win, presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby spun a wheel which altered its prize from cash to four months’ supply of energy. Viewers were infuriated, labeling it as an example of Black Mirror in action.
This Morning is one of many ITV shows which host prize draws. These usually offer an array of prizes such as cars, holidays and more to their viewers.
ITV competitions use a unique ID number system, in which all entries are assigned an individual identification number. These numbers are then matched up to the winning entries.
ITV and other television stations are suffering due to the current recession, but they plan on making up for lost ad revenues with premium phone-in income. According to ITV, they expect half their income from this source.
