Americans are poised to travel overseas in a big way in 2023.
Travelers planning leisure trips abroad are more excited than ever about exploring abroad, according to Destination Analysts’s latest survey. Eighty-one percent of consumers who responded said they plan on traveling internationally in 2023 – an increase of 19 percent over last year’s response.
Asked to name destinations of their choosing, Americans overwhelmingly mentioned locations within America or Europe more often than any other region; several Asia-Pacific nations also featured prominently in responses.
COVID-19 may have curtailed domestic travel, but experts predict that loosening of health rules around the world has increased international interest for travel. Therefore, international travelers will spend more money than before the pandemic according to an American Express report.
