What is BC1?
BC1 is the Paralympic boccia classification, open to people with various disabilities such as cerebral palsy. This class of boccia is the most widespread.
This interoperable, standardized specification defines how much power any port can supply and allows devices to detect how much current they draw. This prevents electrical overstress on portable devices and enhances their overall performance – including charging and data transfer – by eliminating electrical overheating.
When a BC1.2 capable device (PD) connects to a USB 2.0 downstream port, it initiates a primary detection process to identify whether it’s a Dedicated Charging Port (DCP), Charging Downstream Port (CDP) or Standard Downstream Port (SDP). Once D+ > Vdat_ref (0.25 to 0.4 V), either starts drawing desired current up to 1.5 A or enters into secondary detection to see if the port can implement BC1.2 standards.
What is Global National?

Additionally, it’s currently ranking highly on bctv news’ global rankings.
