When a BC1.2 capable device (PD) connects to a USB 2.0 downstream port, it initiates a primary detection process to identify whether it’s a Dedicated Charging Port (DCP), Charging Downstream Port (CDP) or Standard Downstream Port (SDP). Once D+ > Vdat_ref (0.25 to 0.4 V), either starts drawing desired current up to 1.5 A or enters into secondary detection to see if the port can implement BC1.2 standards.

Global National is the flagship channel of Canada’s Global Television Network. Global’s High Definition (HD) program, hosted by award-winning journalists including former CBC news anchor Kevin Newman, is broadcast across Canada on their own network as well as syndicated and affiliate stations across the country. It was also the first to feature a remote-controlled greenscreen studio, an innovation unique to Canadian television news in an age when many reporters still report from home. Since 2008, Global has been a ratings success and is considered one of the best-performing and most watched national news programs in Canada.
